The 2002 Child Care Survey Expanded CURF consists of 10,159 unidentifiable individual statistical records containing data on children aged under 12 years living in private dwellings. The data includes demographic characteristics, use of child care, weekly cost of child care, weekly hours of child care, number of weekdays of child care, reasons used child care, requirements for additional care, reason additional care not used, whether received assistance from Child Care Benefit, whether child care use had changed, reasons child care use changed, parents' source/s of income, whether parents studying, working arrangements of parents normally used to assist with care of children, details about long day care, details about preschool and details about before and after school care.
The Expanded CURF can be accessed via the ABS Remote Access Data Laboratory (RADL).
