Main tasks

  • Interprets work orders, specifications, diagrams, and drawings to determine assembly instructions and materials needed
  • Gathers, organises, and aligns parts and components for assembly, and bolts, screws, or rivets components together
  • Assembles components and subassemblies, either by hand or by using power tools, soldering, or micro-welding equipment
  • Checks that sub-assemblies are securely connected and meet the required specifications for further assembly in production line
  • Identifies and resolves any issues or defects in the assembly process
