Main tasks
- Measures and assesses the type and dimensions of glass and mirrors required in the installation of windows, skylights, display cases, interior walls, and ceilings
- Removes and replaces damaged or broken glass and mirrors
- Cuts and shapes glass and mirrors to specified dimensions, smooths rough edges, applies decorative finishes, and marks any defective areas in the final product
- Prepares surfaces for glass and mirror installation, including cleaning and applying adhesives
- Ensures proper alignment and positioning of glass and mirrors before installation
- Fits glass and mirrors into frames, windows, skylights, doors, and other structures
