Main tasks

  • Measures and assesses the type and dimensions of glass and mirrors required in the installation of windows, skylights, display cases, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Removes and replaces damaged or broken glass and mirrors
  • Cuts and shapes glass and mirrors to specified dimensions, smooths rough edges, applies decorative finishes, and marks any defective areas in the final product
  • Prepares surfaces for glass and mirror installation, including cleaning and applying adhesives
  • Ensures proper alignment and positioning of glass and mirrors before installation
  • Fits glass and mirrors into frames, windows, skylights, doors, and other structures
