Legal graduates

As a Legal graduate at the ABS, you will join our network of graduates from other streams for the ABS Graduate Development Program. Policy legal graduates at the ABS experience roles in the Parliamentary, Policy and Planning Branch. 

You will have the opportunity to apply legislation to ABS business processes and support ABS’s effective compliance with policies and statutory obligations, including the Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act, the Census and Statistics Act and the Data Availability and Transparency Act. Policy legal graduates may work with the Principal Legal Office.
