At the ABS you can contribute to change by generating and delivering data to inform important decisions that improve the economic, health and social opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities around Australia. There are many areas you can work in the ABS, including corporate and strategy, innovation, research and design, technology and security, and data and statistics. 

We are looking for graduates with a passion for working with data, but we also offer placements in corporate roles including HR, communications, finance, accounting, and ICT.

Working at the ABS offers you the best of both worlds. Balance working from home with time in our offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Geelong, Darwin, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide, or Hobart. Our flexible working arrangements mean you can keep doing the things you love outside of work, like care for family or playing sports.

The ABS also offers a public holiday substitution scheme to give you the opportunity to participate in days of cultural, ceremonial, or religious significance.
