• contributed $10.6b (0.44%) to Australia’s gross value added, up 4.1% from the previous year
• employed 64,100 persons, up 6.3% from the previous year
• consisted of 5,544 Australian businesses

Integrates ABS micro and macro data to produce distributional information of household income, consumption and wealth

• Household wealth increased $400.9b (2.4%) to $16,884.9b.
• Demand for credit was $113.3b.
• Australia's net borrowing position rose by $2.7b to $20.2b this quarter.
• Capital investment as a proportion of GDP rose to 24.7%.

This product details Australian production, imports, margins, taxes, subsidies, intermediate and final usage, and exports of over 900 products

Input–Output (I-O) tables provide detailed information about the supply and use of products in the Australian economy

• The Australian economy rose 0.3% in seasonally adjusted chain volume measures
• In nominal terms, GDP rose 0.4%
• The terms of trade fell 2.5%
• Household saving to income ratio rose to 3.2% from 2.4% 

Estimates of the direct contribution that NPIs make to the Australian economy, including to gross value added and gross domestic product

• Gross State Product (GSP) rose in all states and territories in 2023-24
• The strongest result was observed in the Northern Territory, which grew 4.6%, followed by the Australian Capital Territory (4.0%), Queensland (2.1%) and Victoria (1.5%)

• The Australian economy grew 1.4% in chain volume terms in 2023-24
• Labour productivity was flat (0.0%)
• The household saving ratio decreased to 2.5% from 3.8% in 2022-23
• National net worth rose $1.5 trillion to $20.5 trillion

• Total transport activity contributed 7.9% ($164.4b) to GDP in 2020-21.
• Total transport activity was the second largest industry contributor to the Australian economy behind mining in 2020-21.
• There were around 1.2 million employed persons in the total transport industry (including warehousing) in 2020-21.

In 2023-24,

• tourism gross domestic product (GDP) was $78.1b in current prices
• tourism GDP rose 5.5% in chain volume terms
• international tourism consumption rose by $10.8b in chain volume terms
• domestic tourism consumption fell by $2.3b in chain volume terms
• tourism filled jobs rose 5.7% to 691,500.

In September quarter 2024, there were 691,700 tourism jobs. This was:

• 16,200 (2.4%) more jobs than June quarter 2024
• 18,400 (-2.6%) less jobs than September quarter 2023
• 1 in 23 (4.4%) filled jobs in the economy.
