Network and Infrastructure

Platform Engineers, Network and Communications Engineers, Systems Administrators, Desktop Collaboration and Support Specialists assist in the deployment and maintenance of services and server infrastructure and platforms (across ABS cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure).  

These roles involve configuring, integrating, managing and developing core services that support ABS systems, networks and staff collaboration. These roles rely on strong analytical skills to support diagnosing and resolving technical problems and client queries.

ICT Infrastructure Support Officers operate and control the ICT infrastructure (hardware, software, and all ICT equipment within wide and local area networks) required to deliver and support ABS’s services and products.

Networks and Telecommunications Officers manage and deliver robust and efficient network services to the ABS operating environment. They do this by operating and controlling Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and Telecommunications equipment.

Service Managers manage, plan, implement, control and review ICT service provisions to meet ABS business requirements. This includes implementation and monitoring of service level agreements and the ongoing management of operational facilities to provide the agreed levels of service for both contract-based services and internal client arrangements.

Systems Integration Officers implement enterprise-wide, integrated IT applications that meet the requirements of ABS business. They achieve this by managing the deployment and maintenance of ABS computer infrastructure and web technology and diagnosing and resolving technical problems.

Web Administrators maintain the ABS website, the ABS’s primary channel for disseminating statistics. Web Administrators play an important role in ensuring the ABS website is available to ABS customers at all times, that it works effectively and is user-friendly and accessible to the widest possible audience.
