        Annual: data are available at SLA at and smaller areas.
        Quarterly: data are available at State level.
      Historical data
        Limited data from 1971; data by age and sex from 1986

        The ABS can make available certain data which are not contained in publications. Estimates of the resident population by age and sex from June 1991 to June 1994 based on postcode areas are available on request. Estimates are also available by SLA, based on the 1991 census boundaries. Data can be transferred to various spreadsheet packages such as Lotus 1-2-3 and Excel.
