      Description
        Provides information on all deaths registered in Western Australia. The information, which is collected from the Registrar General's Office, provides input into population estimates.
      Data detail
        Data items available include:
      • month/year of registration
      • sex
      • age at death
      • cause of death
      • date of death
      • occupation at time of death (or previous occupation, if retired)
      • indigenous status
      • place of birth
      • usual residence
      • age at marriage
      • number of children
      • for infant deaths the following details are also compiled:
        - birthweight
        - gestation period
        - age of mother
      Geographic coverage
        State, SD, SSD, LGA and SLA
      Frequency
        Annual
      Historical data
        From 1860
