Stocks of dwellings information is produced by adjusting dwelling counts from the Census of Population and Housing, by subtracting the number of demolitions that are reported in the Building Approvals Survey and adding the number of building commencements reported in the Building Commencements Collection.

change in CD dwelling counts since the previous census

State, SD, SSD, SLA, CD, postcode
Frequency
Quarterly until June 97. Discontinued thereafter.

The ABS can make available certain data which are not contained in publications. Unpublished stocks of dwellings data are available by suburb for Perth SD and Mandurah SLA.
