HOW TO APPLY
Applications for ABS vacancies are lodged through the ABS eRecruitment system. The electronic application process consists of three simple stages: registration, drafting your application and review. The system will guide you through each of these stages.
When submitting your application, please be sure that you respond to all the mandatory questions, complete your responses to the selection criteria and upload a copy of your resume and your most recent academic transcript.
STEPS IN THE SELECTION PROCESS
The Selection Process consists of seven (7) clear stages which are outlined below:
Please note, other than your written application and interview, considerations that may form part of your assessment and possible placement to specific graduate roles may include your professional qualifications, skills and experience, the needs of the ABS, the expectations and duties of the classification and position, any preferences you indicate and your willingness/capacity to relocate to where the position is available. This is so the ABS can place successful graduates to various locations around Australia requiring certain qualifications and skill sets, and provide you with the best opportunity to grow your ABS career.
Merit
Selection for all employment opportunities within the ABS are made on the basis of merit. This means that an assessment is made of the suitability of applicants using a competitive selection process.
