To be eligible to apply for the ABS Graduate Development Program you must satisfy the citizenship and qualification requirements outlined below:

Citizenship Requirements
  • You must be an Australian citizen or will be a citizen by January 2015 when the program begins; successful candidates will be required to submit their Australian Citizenship Certificate as evidence of their citizenship status

Education Requirements

  • You must have completed your most recent qualification (at the Bachelor level or higher) between 1 Jan 2012 and 31 Jan 2015.

    *If your all your tertiary qualification/s were obtained overseas, you must provide a verification from either the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) or the State or Territory Overseas Qualification Unit (OQUs) stating that your qualification is equivalent to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised Australian educational institution. Health and Character Clearance

You must also:

        • be of good character as evidenced by a satisfactory criminal history check (a police clearance is required for new employees)
        • be medically fit to undertake the duties of the job.
