The Western Australia (WA) Regional Office of the ABS is located on Level 15, Exchange Plaza, in the Central Business District. As well as providing a wide range of information and consultancy services to governments, business and the wider community in Western Australia, the WA Regional Office in Perth has responsibility for a number of national statistical collections and functions, and currently employs approximately 200 people.
Career Prospects and Promotional Opportunities
Positions in the WA Regional Office include a mixture of administrative, operational, support and research type roles which can include data collection, survey operations, client servicing and statistical research analysis. The Learning and Development team offers assistance to staff with regards to training and career development. Staff members are encouraged to participate in the extensive range of training courses available to develop their statistical, management and personal development skills.
There is good opportunity for promotion, with regular advertising of specialist positions and general bulk rounds.
