Help us get ready for
the Census

| Will you go online too? More than 15 million people are expected to complete the Census online on Census night, August 2016. To help us get ready, we’re asking selected households to go online on Tuesday, 7 July 2015 to complete a fast, easy and secure address confirmation task. Up to 10,000 households on the Gold Coast and in some parts of Western Sydney have been selected to take part in the test. What to expect? If your household is selected, you will receive a letter from the ABS, addressed "To the Resident". The letter will include step-by-step instructions on how to complete the test, including what to do if you’re unable to go online. Your input will ensure the ABS can run a more efficient Census, provide better information for future decisions and help reduce the burden on households in future Censuses. If you have received a letter, to complete your test please visit abs.gov.au/censustest Confidentiality The ABS strictly maintains the secrecy of all information provided under the Census and Statistics Act 1905. The information provided will be treated confidentially and no information will be released in a way that would enable a person, household or business to be identified. |
