The preliminary estimate of the total value of residential dwellings in Australia in the March quarter 2026 was $12,772.6 billion, up $315.9 billion from $12,456.8 billion in the December quarter 2025.
Of the total value of residential dwellings, $12,266.8 billion was owned by households.
The total value of residential dwellings rose in all states and territories, with growth most evident in Queensland (+5.2% or $127.9 b) and Western Australia (+7.5% or $92.7 b).
The number of residential dwellings in Australia rose by 54,200 to 11,495,200 and the mean price of residential dwellings rose by $22,300 to $1,111,100 this quarter.
