Beef:
In the December quarter 2011 beef production increased by 1% to 525 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Veal:
In the December quarter 2011 veal production decreased by 2% to 10 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Mutton:
Mutton production increased by 4% to 29 thousand tonnes during the December quarter.

Lamb:
In the December quarter 2011, lamb production decreased by 1% to 99 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Pig meat:
In the December quarter 2011, pig meat production remained steady at 87 thousand tonnes.

Total red meat:
Total red meat production increased by 1% to 751 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Chicken meat:
Chicken meat production decreased by 1% to 251 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.
