Purpose
To collect operational data about operational activities associated with Petroleum, Exploration and Production activities.
Description
The database stores data collected under various Commonwealth and Northern Territory Acts. The data is confidential in nature but aggregated reports drawn from the data are published via Annual Reports and Web Site documents.

Incidents (collected upon occurrence)
Oil and Gas Production (quarterly reports)
Wells and Seismic Information (six monthly)
Exploration and Development Expenditure (six monthly)
Permits, Fees and Work Commitments (six monthly)
Oil and Gas Pipelines
Geographic coverage
Northern Territory Lands and Waters, Ashmore and Cartier Islands Area (administered on behalf of the Commonwealth).
Frequency of data availability
Various collection frameworks from monthly to quarterly and is normally available within one month of end of reporting period.
Historical data
Oil and Gas Production from August 1983
Employment and Safety Statistics from July 1990
Wells and Seismic (all available from first well/survey)
Products and services available
Excel spreadsheets and Adobe PDF documents are available for download from the DME web site
