Purpose
To collect South Australian government energy use data.
Scope or target population of the collection
All South Australian State Government agencies and organisations.
Description
South Australian Government Energy. Gas and Electricity (only) available down to individual account level.
Collection design
Reporting of energy use from all government agencies is required.
Method of collection
Energy use data is collected in two ways. Direct billing data is received directly from the respective utilities while cross charge data is supplied through the agencies themselves. Both are received in electronic format.

Frequency of data availability
Data is currently collated on a quarterly basis.
Historical data
Direct billing has been collected since 1994. Cross charge information will be available for the first time at the conclusion of the 1999-2000 financial year.
