NSW accounts for almost all of the Australian rice crop. Rice production is undertaken in three areas: the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, the Coleambally Irrigation Area and the Murray Valley Irrigation Area. These three areas are in the Murrumbidgee and Murray Statistical Divisions (SDs). RICE FOR GRAIN, NSW
