The agriculture industry in Victoria is quite diverse. There were an estimated 37,000 businesses with agricultural activity in Victoria, according to the 2006-07 Agricultural Survey, ranging from small establishments engaged in horticulture to large properties mainly devoted to sheep, cattle or cereal production. The Goulburn Statistical Division (SD) recorded the highest number of businesses with agricultural activity in Victoria at 30 June 2007 (6,776).
