PATTERNS OF HOME INTERNET USE Overall, internet activity was highest amongst the younger age groups (persons under the age of 35). Internet savvy 15–17 year olds most commonly went online for Educational purposes (93%), whereas 18–24 year olds preferred Social networking (92%) over other activities. However, the remainder of age groups (25–34 year olds through to persons aged 65 years or over) all reported their most common online activity as Paying bills or banking online.
