ANZSIC Coder
The ANZSIC Coder is now a point of contact coder which can be implemented to code ANZSIC by using an application programming interface (API). This replaces the superseded coder on CD-ROM which is no longer supported.
The ANZSIC 2006 Point of Contact Coder (PoCC) is a web service which enables users to identify the correct ANZSIC code for an economic activity. The user sends a request to the service comprising a word or phrase describing an activity and the ANZSIC PoCC returns to the user a list of up to 20 probable activities which are relevant for the description entered.
There is a process in place to periodically update the coding index for the ANZSIC PoCC to include new and emerging activities.
