VALUE OF WORK DONE, CHAIN VOLUME MEASURES

TOTAL

• The trend estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done fell 1.6% in the June 2013 quarter.
• The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done fell 0.5% in the June quarter to $30,524.0m.

PRIVATE SECTOR

• The trend estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 2.0% in the June quarter.
• The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 1.2% in the June quarter to $22,829.3m.

PUBLIC SECTOR

• The trend estimate for the value of work done for the public sector fell 0.3% in the June quarter.
• The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the public sector rose 1.7% in the June quarter to $7,694.7m.

VALUE OF WORK COMMENCED, CURRENT PRICES

• The value of work commenced in the June quarter was $18,074.1m in original terms, a decrease of 28.1% from the March quarter.
