AGE AT MARRIAGE, SEPARATION AND DIVORCE The 40-44 years age group had the highest percentage of divorces granted for males (16.4%). The highest percentage of divorces granted for females was in the 35-39 years age group (17.8%). The median age at marriage for males whose divorces were granted in 2010 was 28.1 years, compared to 25.6 years for females. Median age at separation for males granted divorce was 40.8 years, whereas the figure for females in 2010 was 38.1 years. In 2010, the median age of males at divorce was 44.4 years and 41.5 years for females. The median age at divorce has generally been increasing for both males and females over the past 20 years. However, the median age for males and females in 2010 remained the same as reported in 2009 (44.4 years for males and 41.5 years for females).
