GRAIN STORED
Total wheat grain stored by bulk grain handlers and users at the end of September 2009 was 3.7 million tonnes, a decrease of 1.1 million tonnes from August 2009. Stocks of wheat grain at the end of September 2009 are almost double the stocks held at the end of September 2008.
At the end of September 2009, the amount of wheat grain stored by bulk grain handlers was 3.4 million tonnes, of which 2.6 million tonnes was graded for milling and 800 thousand tonnes graded for feed.
Wheat grain stored by wheat grain users at the end of September 2009 was 317 thousand tonnes, continuing the steady decrease since the high of 630 thousand tonnes at the end of February 2009.
