WHEAT GRAIN STORED
The 2010/11 grain harvest began in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia in October 2010; however, high rainfall meant a later than normal start to the harvest in many regions.
Total wheat grain stored by bulk grain handlers, growers and users at the end of October 2010 was 4.0 million tonnes.
Wheat grain stored by bulk grain handlers at the end of October 2010 was 3.4 million tonnes, of which 3.1 million tonnes (89%) was graded for milling and 0.4 million tonnes (11%) graded for feed.
Wheat grain growers and users stored 525 thousand tonnes of wheat grain at the end of October 2010.
