WHEAT GRAIN STORED

Total wheat grain stored by bulk grain handlers, growers and users at the end of January 2011 was 24.7 million tonnes.

Wheat grain stored by bulk grain handlers at the end of January 2011 was 22.2 million tonnes, of which 12.5 million tonnes (56%) was graded for milling and 9.7 million tonnes (44%) graded for feed.

Wheat grain growers and users stored 2.5 million tonnes of wheat grain at the end of January 2011, which was an increase of 420 thousand tonnes (20%) from December 2010, but due to the wet weather and flooding was 620 thousand tonnes (19%) below the level of this time last year.
