WHEAT GRAIN STORED
Total wheat grain stored by bulk grain handlers, growers and users at the end of February 2011 was 23.2 million tonnes.
Wheat grain stored by bulk grain handlers at the end of February 2011 was 20.4 million tonnes, of which 11.6 million tonnes (57%) was graded for milling and 8.8 million tonnes (43%) graded for feed.
Wheat grain growers and users stored 2.9 million tonnes of wheat grain at the end of February 2011, which was an increase of 359 thousand tonnes (14%) from January 2011. Despite the wet weather and flooding this year, the total was 100 thousand tonnes (4%) more than the level of February 2010.
