LABOUR COSTS

In percentage terms, the increase in wages and salaries paid by the electricity supply industry in 2006-07 exceeded its increase in employment. Wages and salaries rose by 14% ($529m) in 2006-07.

Of the $4.9b in total labour costs incurred by the electricity supply industry in 2006-07, 89% consisted of wages and salaries.
