The next issue of the Arts and Culture Compendium, officially known as Arts and Culture Australia: A Statistical Overview (cat. no. 4172.0) will be released on 19 December 2011.
The 2011 issue includes updated data on arts and heritage in Australia from various statistical collections including Attendance at Selected Cultural Venues and Events, Australia, 2009-10 (cat. no. 4114.0) and Household Expenditure Survey, Australia: Summary of Results, 2009-10 (cat. no. 6530.0), as well as data from non-ABS sources such as Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) and Tourism Research Australia.

- In the 12 months prior to interview, 41% of people aged 5 years and over with a disability had attended the cinema and 31% had visited a library. While 30% had either not taken part in any of the cultural or sports activities asked about in the survey or had not left home.
- Of the 4.1 million people in Australia aged 60 years and over, 48% identified as having a disability.
- In the 12 months prior to interview, 29% of older people with a disability had attended the cinema and 27% had visited a library. Two out of every five people (38%) aged 60 years and over with a disability had either not taken part in the activities asked about in the survey or had not left home.
