BREAK IN SERIES
Following the implementation of the National Crime Recording Standard (NCRS), there has been significant change to the basis of the Recorded Crime - Victims collection when compared with previous years. Following implementation actions by states and territories, the 2010 publication marks the first year in a break in series for the collection; therefore comparisons should not be made between data in this publication and Recorded Crime - Victims statistics published prior to 2011.
