REBASING INFORMATION PAPER
In August 2011, ABS Demography will be releasing an information paper outlining our output plans for the 2011 Estimated Resident Population (ERP) rebasing cycle. The paper will include plans for disseminating preliminary, revised and final ERP figures, as well as plans for communicating with key stakeholders through the rebasing process.
A major change for 2011 is that the ABS will no longer be releasing preliminary estimates of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders - final rebased estimates by State/Territory and other geographies will be released in August 2013 in Experimental Estimates of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians (cat. no. 3238.0.55.001).
