This represents a decrease of 12.0% from March 2009 ($797m) and a decrease of 11.4% from April 2008 ($792m). The value of Australian merchandise exports for April 2009 was $16,383m, a 0.2% increase from the previous year ($16,352m in April 2008). The value of South Australian merchandise imports decreased to $456m in April 2009 from $711m in April 2008, a decrease of 35.8%. The value of Australian merchandise imports for April 2009 was $16,228m, a 7.6% decrease from April 2008 ($17,567m).
