PERSPECTIVES ON MIGRANTS


SECOND EDITION OF PERSPECTIVES ON MIGRANTS NOW AVAILABLE

The second edition of Perspectives on Migrants (cat. no. 3416.0) was released by the National Migrant Statistics Unit on 20 August.

This issue contains descriptive articles with a common theme - population characteristics of overseas born migrants by region of birth. In particular:

• People born in Africa;
• People born in China and India; and
• People born in the Middle East.

These articles add to the range of information published in edition one.

Future articles will be released biannually on the ABS website providing informed commentary to assist those interested in issues related to migrant and ethnic population groups within Australia. In addition, some articles also illustrate how the Migrant Data Matrices (cat. no. 3415.0) and the Guide to Migrant Statistical Sources (cat. no. 3414.0) can be used as research tools.
