ATTENDANCE

The ABS (2010a) publication Attendance at Selected Cultural Venues and Events 2009–10 (cat. no. 4114.0) showed that 11.7 million people (67% of the population aged 15 years and over) attended cinemas in the 12 months prior to interview. The attendance rate decreased with age from 93% for 15-17 year olds to 32% for people aged 75 years and over.
