STAFF
Over half (52.4%) of all FTE staff were nurses in 2013-14 and more than a quarter (26.2%) were Administrative and clerical staff.
Across different types of centres, the percentage of nurses ranged from 59.2% of total staff in the Ophthalmic surgery category and 46.9% in the Other category.

NSW, Victoria and Queensland accounted for 75.6% of all full-time equivalent staff in 2013-14. These three states also accounted for 74.6% of all nursing staff.
Tasmania, the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory had the highest proportion of FTE staff who are nurses (61.0%) while New South Wales had the lowest proportion, at 46.2%.
