Income from water freight transport services amounted to $1.7b (44.7% of Total income from transport services). A further $1.5b (39.5%) was derived from Other income from transport services. The Water Transport industry subdivision incurred Total expenses of $4.3b in the financial year 2010-11, the major item being Payments to contractors and other businesses for transport services of $1.7b (39.6%).
