The Transport, Postal and Warehousing industry division incurred 40.7% (or $50.7b) of the $124.4b Transport related expenses accrued across the Total Selected Industries in the 2010-11 financial year. Of the remaining 59.3% (or $73.8b) of Transport related expenses incurred, the most significant proportions were incurred in the following industry divisions:
Capital expenditure on road vehicles across Total Selected Industries amounted to $12.4b in 2010-11. As expected, the Transport, Postal and Warehousing industry division had the largest proportion of Capital expenditure on road vehicles (21.9%), followed by Construction (14.9%) and Wholesale Trade (6.3%). Capital expenditure on other transport vehicles and equipment totalled $9.4b. The Transport, Postal and Warehousing industry division's share of this expenditure was 55.9%.
