These states accounted for about three-quarters of all federal offences. Footnote(s): (a) In 2010-11, excludes Tasmanian federal defendants and offences in the Higher Criminal Courts. Source(s): Federal Defendants, Australia Of the total number of offences finalised by the courts, Offences against justice comprised the largest proportion in Western Australia (56%), Victoria (44%), Queensland (44%) and New South Wales (30%). Fraud and deception comprised the largest proportion in the Northern Territory (59%), South Australia (49%) and Tasmania (54%). In the Australian Capital Territory, Traffic and vehicle regulatory offences comprised 43% of all federal offences finalised.
