Beef:
In the September quarter 2012, beef production remained steady at 520 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Veal:
In the September quarter 2012, veal production decreased by 7% to 9 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Mutton:
Mutton production increased by 7% to 35 thousand tonnes during the September quarter 2012.

Lamb:
In the September quarter 2012, lamb production increased by 4% to 115 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Pig meat:
In the September quarter 2012, pig meat production decreased by 1% to 87 thousand tonnes.

Total red meat:
Total red meat production increased by 1% to 766 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Chicken meat:
Chicken meat production increased by 1% to 264 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.
