Beef:
In the December quarter 2012, beef production increased by 2% to 540 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Veal:
In the December quarter 2012, veal production remained steady at 10 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Mutton:
Mutton production increased by 9% to 39 thousand tonnes during the December quarter 2012.

Lamb:
In the December quarter 2012, lamb production decreased by 1% to 112 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Pig meat:
In the December quarter 2012, pig meat production remained steady at 88 thousand tonnes.

Total red meat:
Total red meat production increased by 2% to 789 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.

Chicken meat:
Chicken meat production decreased by 1% to 260 thousand tonnes when compared to the previous quarter.
