Cattle (excluding calves):
In the September quarter 2013, the number of cattle slaughtered (excluding calves) increased by 3% to a record 2.1 million when compared to June quarter 2013.

Calves:
The number of calves slaughtered in the September quarter 2013 decreased by 3% to 169,000 when compared to the previous quarter.

Sheep:
The number of sheep slaughtered in the September quarter 2013 increased by 7% to 2.7 million when compared to June quarter 2013.

Lambs:
Lamb slaughterings in the September quarter 2013 increased by less than 1% to a record 5.5 million.

Pigs:
Pig slaughterings in the September quarter 2013 remained steady at 1.2 million when compared to the previous quarter.

Chickens:
Chicken slaughterings in the September quarter 2013 increased by 1% to 145 million when compared to June quarter 2013.
