Cattle (excluding calves):
In the June quarter 2012, the number of cattle slaughtered (excluding calves) decreased by 1% to 1.8 million.

Calves:
The number of calves slaughtered in the June quarter 2012 remained steady at 172 thousand when compared to the previous quarter.

Sheep:
The number of sheep slaughtered in the June quarter 2012 increased by 2% to 1.3 million when compared to the previous quarter.

Lambs:
Lamb slaughterings in the June quarter 2012 increased by 2% to 4.9 million.

Pigs:
Pig slaughterings in the June quarter 2012 remained steady at 1.1 million when compared to the previous quarter.

Chickens
Chicken slaughterings in the June quarter 2012 increased by 2% to 140.5 million when compared to the previous quarter.
