CHAPTER 4 - PRINCIPLES OF BEST PRACTICE AGRICULTURAL STATISTICAL SYSTEMS The NASR sought to identify not only the current state of the agricultural statistics system but what an efficient, well functioning and sustainable system should comprise. In doing this, the NASR considered international and domestic statistical best practice and used this to identify five principles that underpin well-functioning, effective and efficient agricultural statistical systems.
