FINALISATION METHOD

In the Higher Courts, 80% of the 977 defendants were proven guilty. The proportion of defendants proven guilty within the Magistrates' Courts was 70% and within the Children's Courts it was 58%. Defendants in the Children's Courts had the highest proportion of charges withdrawn by the prosecution at 33%.
