WESTERN AUSTRALIA § Just under three in five homicide victims were male (57% or 25 victims); § Murder victims accounted for just over three in four homicide victims (77% or 34 victims); and § The most common location in which murder occurred was a residential location (61% or 20 victims).
§ The majority of sexual assault victims (86% or 1,568 victims) were female; § Three in five sexual assault victims (60% or 1,104 victims) were aged 19 years and under; and § The most common location in which sexual assault occurred was a residential location (71% or 1,299 victims).
§ Two-thirds of all person victims of robbery were male (66% or 772 victims); and § The most common location in which robbery occurred was a street or footpath (34% or 492 victims), followed by a retail location (26% or 379 victims).
