DATA ITEM LISTS
The 2012 SDAC comprised a household questionnaire of around 2,000 questions and a health establishment form of around 100 questions, which resulted in the generation of approximately 1,200 data items. Users intending to purchase the CURF or TableBuilder should ensure that the data they require, and the level of detail they need, are available in the product.
CURF
The SDAC Basic CURF contains 77,570 confidentialised respondent (person level) records from the survey. Subject to the limitations of the sample size and the data classifications used, it is possible to interrogate the CURF, produce tabulations and undertake statistical analyses to individual specifications.
A complete list of all data items included on the CURF, including relevant population and classification details, is provided as a spreadsheet on the Downloads tab. The data item spreadsheet has 15 worksheets:
- table of contents
- data items on the household level
- data items on the family level
- data items on the income unit level
- data items on the person level
- data items on the conditions level
- data items on the restrictions level
- data items on the specific activities level
- data items on the all recipient level
- data items on the broad activities level
- data items on the assistance providers level
- identifiers (available on all levels) and weights
- populations
- changes between SDAC 2009 and SDAC 2012 - excluding Person level
- changes between SDAC 2009 and SDAC 2012 - Person level
The data item list is coded to indicate new or changed items, compared to the 2009 SDAC CURF. Users can see detail of changes on tables 13 and 14, and new items listed by topic on table 14.
Intending purchasers should note that with regard to geography, the 2012 SDAC CURF is limited to the following three data items:

7. Northern Territory
8. Australian Capital Territory
- Capital city or balance of state (AREA)

A complete list of all data items included on the TableBuilder, including relevant population and classification details, is provided as a spreadsheet on the
Downloads tab.
The data items are generally available for cross tabulation using the TableBuilder, although some restrictions may apply.

Intending purchasers should note that use of geographic data items is restricted such that only two sub-state geographic data items can be included in any one table. The 2012 SDAC TableBuilder contains the following geographic data items:
