ISCED Review

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) is currently undertaking a major review of the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED). At present UNESCO is currently seeking international comments on the revised ISCED. Over the next few months NCETS will be working with the ABS' Standards and Classifications section and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) to provide a coordinated response on this revised classification. Once the new ISCED has been finalised a new concordance with the Australian Standard Classification of Education (ASCED) will be developed.
