(c) For 2006-2012, adult employees are 21 years of age or over, or employees under 21 years old who are paid at the full adult rate for their occupation. From 2014, the definition of 'Adult rate of pay' excludes employees over 21 years of age on apprentice or trainee, and disability rates of pay.

(e) Caution should be exercised when comparing data between different years as EEH is not designed as a time series. See Chapter 30 of Labour Statistics: Concepts, Sources and Methods (cat. no. 6102.0.55.001) for further details on these changes.
