In 2012, there were 13 victims of homicide recorded in Tasmania.

In 2012, there were 106 victims of sexual assault recorded in Tasmania. More than four in five victims were female (84% or 89 victims). Among total victims of sexual assault 79% (83) knew their offender, including 34% (36) with an offender who was a family member. Victimisation was most likely to be experienced at a residential location (73% or 77 victims).

There were 3,450 victims of unlawful entry with intent recorded in Tasmania in 2012. Property was taken in 77% (2,665) of cases.

There were 1,341 victims of motor vehicle theft recorded in Tasmania in 2012. The largest proportion of motor vehicle thefts occurred at a residential location (46% or 619 victims), followed by a community location (42% or 563 victims). A retail location was the site of victimisation in 6% (75) of cases.
